This 1970s Everett rambler still had its original galvanized supply lines — and the rusty, pressure-starved water to prove it.
The Challenge
Galvanized pipe rusts from the inside out. Decades of scale had choked the lines down to a trickle in the upstairs bath, and discolored water was showing up at the taps.
What We Did
- Mapped every run and isolated the work to keep water on overnight
- Replaced the galvanized lines throughout with PEX
- Patched and tidied access points cleanly behind us
The Result
Full, even pressure at every fixture, clean water, and a system good for decades — finished in two days with the family never fully without water.
Tips from the Field
On old galvanized homes the avoidable disaster is leaving a family without water for two days. We map and stage the repipe so the water stays on overnight.
