Frequently Asked Questions
Do I really need to call 811 before you dig?
Yes — it’s the law in Washington. Utility locates are required at least two business days before breaking ground. We coordinate the locate so the dig is safe and you’re never on the hook for a struck line.
How long does a typical excavation or grading job take?
It depends on the scope and soil, but you’ll get a clear timeline up front — not a vague “we’ll see.” Most residential grading and trenching jobs wrap in a day or two.
Can you fix drainage on a wet or sloped lot?
Absolutely. French drains, curtain drains, regrading, and proper downspout tie-ins are bread and butter. We solve the cause of the standing water, not just the symptom.
Do you haul away the spoils and debris?
Yes. We’re licensed to haul (USDOT #3348999), so dirt, rock, and cleared material leave with us — your site is left clean and ready for the next step.
Will heavy equipment tear up my property?
We plan access carefully, protect what stays, and restore disturbed ground as we go. Treating your property like our own is the whole point of hiring a local crew.
Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?
Fully — Washington contractor license #LIMITPS810CL, bonded and insured on every job. One Company. One Standard.
💡 Did You Know?
A French drain only works if it drains somewhere. Without a daylight outlet or a dry well to empty into, it just relocates standing water a few feet — the outlet is the half of the job nobody sees, and the half that fails when it’s skipped.
